Jo VesteyJoanna Vestey MA is an Oxford based award-winning photographer and mother. She is a passionate supporter of maternal health, women’s rights and all things relating to childbirth.
Her photographic work has been published globally in many national and international newspapers and magazines. She has worked with Associated Press in Jerusalem and magazines such as the Times and National Geographic. She studied photography at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and at Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem and has an MA in Social Anthropology from The School of Oriental and African Studies. Most recently she has been undertaking a doula course. She has photographed and travelled extensively with charities and NGOs, which has allowed her to see first-hand the many issues affecting women during pregnancy and childbirth.
The experience of becoming a mother herself moved her to becoming a passionate supporter and champion of maternal health and mothers rights globally. She is passionate about the work of White Ribbon Alliance and delighted to be working closely with us.
