Pita Putih Indonesia is mobilizing community members to affect a grassroots culture change that prioritizes the health and well-being of women and their newborns. PPI is an autonomous network comprised of diverse members from more than 40 local and international organizations, professional associations, government entities, and donor agencies. PPI works across 32 provinces and has chapters in Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Banten, and Sumatra as well as related Community Health Cadres. Cadre coordinators work directly with communities to develop grassroots solutions to health challenges for pregnant women and their newborns, while PPI’s management structure ensures coordination and targeted outreach to vulnerable populations throughout Indonesia. PPI is a registered national NGO in Indonesia.
