The White Ribbon for Safe Motherhood, India (WRA India), is a grassroots movement for the health and rights of women and newborns. Comprised of individuals, organizations, champions, researchers, health professionals, and government officials, WRA India’s extensive coalition membership is coordinated by a Secretariat housed by member organization, Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3). By building alliances of inter-sectoral partnerships with non-traditional groups, WRA India acts as a catalyst for action. WRA India operates as a convener of the national movement, overseeing six state alliances in Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and the Regional Alliance of Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh. By amplifying women’s voices to drive change, WRA India advocates for equitable and dignified quality of care, ensuring sexual, reproductive, and health rights for all women.
